Your park quest

5 to tick, plus a bonus

When you get to the park, open your quest and we'll guide you through one step at a time. Do them in any order, across as many visits as you like — anything you tick is saved.

  • Walking

Walk the full trail loop through hammock, flatwoods and the cypress section.

1.5 mile loop · about 50 min · Sand and mulch with boardwalk sections; deep shade most of the way.

  • Adventure

Photograph the cypress wetland from the boardwalk.

0.7 mile in · about 15 min · Boardwalk with rails.

  • Live More

Stand still under the hammock canopy for five minutes without speaking.

On the loop · about 5 min · Shaded and quiet — the point of this place.

  • Movement

Walk the loop twice, second lap noticeably faster.

3 miles · about 75 min · Soft footing; watch roots on the faster lap.

  • Together

Read every interpretive sign together and pick the fact you did not know.

1.5 mile loop · about 55 min · Signs are spread along the loop.

  • Bonus · optional

Bonus: photograph the difference between the hammock and the flatwoods in two photos.

On the loop · about 20 min · The habitat change is obvious on the trail.

Frenchman's Forest is a natural area, not a park — no playgrounds, no pavilions, just marked trails and habitat the county chose to keep intact inside a fast-growing corridor.
