Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we never collect, and what stays private.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information LMGT Park Hopper collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and the choices you have. It covers the Park Hopper website and app, including quests, the Park Passport, badges, XP, Gems, Crews, scheduling, memories and the Park Hopping Board.
LMGT is responsible for the information described here. Park Hopper is built to collect as little as possible: private by default, no location tracking, and sharing only when you choose it.
2. Information you give us
- Your name, email address and password for your account.
- Optional profile details: your city, a profile photo, a display preference and your participation preference.
- Your quest progress: completed activities, park stamps, XP, badges, Gems, Gem Vault unlocks, plans and Crews.
- Photos and written reflections you upload, and steps or miles you type in yourself.
- Crew and scheduling details: crew names, the dates you plan to hop, invitations you send and join requests.
- Messages you send us, such as a quest help request, a park suggestion or a privacy request.
3. Information collected automatically
Our hosting and database providers keep basic technical logs — for example request times, error details and coarse network information — to keep the service running and secure. These logs are not used to build advertising profiles.
The app stores small amounts of data in your browser to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your map view and whether you have seen a help card.
4. What we never collect
- Your location. Park Hopper does not use GPS, does not request location permission, does not track you in the background and does not keep any location history.
- Health-app or fitness-device data. If you record steps, you type them in yourself.
- A child's email, phone number, address, precise birth date, login or location.
- Payment card details. Taking part is free, and any merchandise store is operated separately.
5. How we use information
- To create and run your account and keep you signed in.
- To record quest progress, stamps, XP, badges, Gems and Gem Vault unlocks.
- To show your Passport, your memories and the features you choose to use.
- To run Crews, invitations, plans and events you take part in.
- To show you on the Park Hopping Board, if you have chosen to appear there.
- To verify park visits from the photo and discovery answer you submit.
- To answer your questions, handle reports and support requests, and correct errors.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraudulent completions and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
6. Private by default
Your photos, reflections, steps, miles, Gems and progress are private to your account. Community sharing is always an explicit choice you make at upload time, and Private is the default.
Your email address is never shown publicly. On shared surfaces such as the Park Hopping Board and the community feed, only the display details you have chosen appear, and you can hide yourself entirely.
7. Photos
Quest photos are stored privately and are served through short-lived private links, so they are not publicly browsable.
Location metadata is removed from uploaded photos where technically practical before any shared display.
Using your shared photos in LMGT promotional material requires your separate, optional permission, which you can withdraw at any time.
8. Who we share information with
Service providers who host and operate Park Hopper — hosting, database, storage and email delivery — process information on our behalf under their own security obligations.
Other participants see only what you choose to share: shared posts, your chosen board display, and details you share within a Crew you join.
We may disclose information where required by law or legal process, or where necessary to protect someone's safety or to investigate fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
9. How long we keep information
We keep your account information and progress while your account is active, so your Passport and achievements remain intact.
If you delete your account, we remove your profile, uploads, reflections, progress, achievements and Crew memberships. Limited records may be retained where we must keep them — for example acceptance records or security logs — and backups age out on their normal cycle.
You can also delete individual uploads, un-share shared posts or remove your profile photo at any time without deleting your account.
10. Security
Access to your data is restricted at the database level, so your private records are readable only by your account and, where necessary, by an authorised administrator. Uploads are held in private storage and served through short-lived links. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
No system is perfect. Use a strong, unique password, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
11. Children
Park Hopper is designed for adult account holders. Children take part under an adult's account and Crew.
We do not create profiles for children, do not publish children's names, photos, schedules or locations, and do not offer messaging to minors. The adult account holder controls every submission from their household.
If you believe a child has created an account or that a child's personal information has been submitted, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Verifying a park visit
Park visits are verified with a photo you take plus a simple on-site discovery answer. No location permission is requested, and no coordinates are stored.
13. Your choices and rights
- See and update your profile details, or change or remove your profile photo.
- Choose whether you appear on the Park Hopping Board, and whether your photo shows there.
- Choose Private or Shared for every upload, and un-share anything you shared before.
- Give or withdraw optional permission for promotional use of photos you have shared.
- Request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its contents.
14. Cookies and local storage
Park Hopper uses only what it needs: a session that keeps you signed in and local settings that remember app preferences such as your map view and dismissed help cards. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
15. US and Florida residents
Park Hopper operates from Florida and is intended for participants in the United States. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in US state privacy laws, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises a privacy right.
To make a request, use the Privacy Choices page. We will verify the request against the email address on your account before acting on it.
16. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. Each version carries the version stamp shown at the bottom of this page. If a change is material, we will make it clear inside the app.
Contact LMGT through the contact details shown on the Questions page, using the email address on your account.
