Your park quest

5 to tick, plus a bonus

When you get to the park, open your quest and we'll guide you through one step at a time. Do them in any order, across as many visits as you like — anything you tick is saved.

  • Walking

Walk the sand trail loop out to the observation platform and back.

1.2 mile loop · about 45 min · Deep sand, no shade, some gentle rises. Slow going — allow extra time.

  • Adventure

Photograph the view from the observation platform.

0.6 mile to the platform · about 15 min · Steps up to the platform; full sun.

  • Live More

From the platform, look out over the scrub and take five slow breaths.

At the platform · about 5 min · Exposed; a hat and water matter here.

  • Movement

Walk the full loop in soft sand without stopping — harder than it looks.

1.2 miles · about 40 min · Sand walking is real work. Go early.

  • Together

Count how many different plants you can find that grow low to the ground.

On the loop · about 20 min · Scrub plants are all trailside.

  • Bonus · optional

Bonus: photograph the sand trail itself, and notice how different this is from the boardwalk parks.

On the loop · about 10 min · Anywhere on the trail.

Park rules to know

  • Stay on the marked sand trails — scrub habitat is fragile.
  • No pets in the natural area.
  • Nothing may be collected.
  • Do not climb on the dunes.

Park rules and safety instructions always take priority over an LMGT quest, challenge, XP, badge, stamp or reward.
